Giving Tuesday is an annual opportunity for individuals, families, and communities to come together and give back. For Suds of Love, this day is especially meaningful as it marks the beginning of our Suds 2.0 fundraising campaign. This year, we’re aiming to raise funds for a fully equipped enclosed trailer that will allow us to serve twice as many families with 6 washer/dryer sets, upgraded systems, and safe transport. Why Giving Tuesday Matters to Suds of Love

At Suds of Love, our mission is to provide clean clothes, showers, and hygiene products to families and individuals in southeastern North Carolina who are experiencing homelessness or extreme poverty. We believe that dignity is a right, not a luxury. With each load of laundry, every bar of soap, and every fresh pair of socks, we offer more than just basic needs – we offer hope, compassion, and the opportunity for a fresh start.

As we expand our services with Suds 2.0, we aim to double the number of families we serve, and Giving Tuesday is the perfect time to launch this new phase of our mission. With your help, we can raise the funds needed to purchase and equip a new trailer that will carry 6 washers and dryers, providing increased capacity and the ability to serve more families in Brunswick County, Oak Island, Myrtle Beach, and beyond.

What the Suds 2.0 Trailer Will Do

Currently, our mobile unit, Miss Dorothy, serves us well. But as demand grows, it is clear that we need a new, fully equipped trailer to meet the needs of our community. The Suds 2.0 trailer will include the following upgrades:

• 6 washer/dryer sets to serve more families and provide double the laundry services.

• Electrical and plumbing systems that ensure efficiency and safety.

• Propane system for heating and operational efficiency, especially during colder months.Storage space for supplies, ensuring that we are always ready to help when needed.Safety equipment for volunteers and guests, making every Serve Day safe and welcoming.

This new trailer will help us serve more families, expand our reach, and increase our impact in Brunswick County, New Hanover County, and the surrounding areas.
